Teen deaths

Indicator of
Healthy children
Unintentional injuries (accidents) are the leading cause of teen deaths, accounting for more than 40 percent of all deaths among teens ages 15 to 19. This measure also includes incidents of illness, homicide and suicide. Given the relatively low numbers, the rate is suppressed for many Iowa counties.
