This report, Connecting the Dots for School Readiness, presents an overview essay concerning the importance of school readiness at the time of a child's entry into kindergarten. The essay reviews what systems and supports are necessary to ensure that children are prepared to enter school with their peers. The report also includes 2002-2003 administrative data at the national, state, sub-state, and county levels on the health, education, and welfare of Iowa children.
